Ride the Waves in Anza, Morocco

Moaud led me, my husband and his adult daughter on a beautiful three-day hike through breath-taking mountain passes, across many streams, along narrow switch-back trails and past quiet Berber villages. The terrain is sometimes challenging and rocky…our poles and hiking boots were useful. We stayed in two comfortable, rustic guest houses where Mohammed, our muleteer, prepared wonderful dinners for us after a long day of leading our gentle mule.
Mouad was a great guide. He led us at a comfortable pace, shared stories and songs, always had snacks for quick breaks and provided relaxed trailside lunches.
Mouad was able to adjust and shorten our route and even change our accommodation when my husband’s knee injury flared up.
This trip to the Atlas mountains with Mouad was the highlight of our ten days in Morocco, and a wonderful break from the heat and bustle of the Marakkech medina.
We would love to return and hike Toubkal with Atlas Peaks on our next visit.

We did the 2 day Azzaden Valley trek and a short hike in Imlil. It was amazing! Beautiful views, and Mouad is a kind and funny guide. He helps you if you get scared and makes the trip an experience and not only a hike! We definitely recommend Atlas Peaks Imlil!

Imagine walking through deep valleys of ancient rock surrounded by endless colors of green blue white black and endless waters carving the earth for thousands of years. We had such a good time with Atlas Peaks Imlil. We did a day hike from Imlil along a beautiful and peaceful path. We hardly came across any other people, just mules! The views were amazing and Mouad is great company!

I had a fantastic trek with Mouad! I did the three day Mount Toubkal route – spectacular views, great food and comfortable accommodation. Mouad was knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend him as a guide – including for women traveling solo.

Mouad was a legend, he was super friendly and helpful . He was patient but politely pushed us close to the summit to see the sunrise.
He was well organised and took care of everything at the refuge.

Me and my friend (two women) went on a private hike with Mouad. We felt extremely taken care of and safe. We hiked at our pace and took regular breaks, but also sped up when we were feeling good. He could answer lots of questions we had on the region and topography and even accommodated making the hike longer for us when we didn’t want it to end. Could not recommend Mouad enough! We tried to book Mouad again, thags how much we enjoyed it but unfortunately he was already booked up!

We used the guide service during a weekend trip to the mountains. Our guide was extremely friendly, knowledgable and we got on with him so well! He ensured that we enjoyed our trip but also stayed safe. He educated us along the way and took plenty of photos! Would recommend the guide service to anyone. We did a one day hike but I know others were also available 🙂

The trip was awesome! Amouad is a great guide, he saw us many view places, small villages and a waterfall. He explained us many curiosities of the place and took care of us for anything we needed. If we come back to Morocco we wil repeat so I highly recommend him! Thanks for everything

The Toubkal sunrise was unforgettable. Mouad handled logistics and safety so we could just enjoy the climb.
